2010 Wrap Up

Again, I am stunned that another year has flown by. I can remember as a child believing that I would never see the year 2000. It seemed light years away. Now we are almost eleven years into 2000. Unreal!

Blessings abound in my life. While everything isnít just peachy all the time I can honestly say I have more blessings than problems. How did that happen? I can only praise the Lord and give him all the credit. He promised that He would never leave us or forsake us in the trying times of our lives and He did keep that promise to me. For that I am thankful.

My children have all grown in the Lord and they are raising my grandchildren in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. I encourage them constantly because sometimes kids stray, as mine did. Thankfully, the Lord had patience with them and gave them the nudge to resume their walk with God. I am afraid I did lose my patience with them at times. Again, it happened in Godís time and not mine.

I am glad I donít have the power to know what 2011 holds for my family, my friends, the nation, the world or me. The bible teaches us to take one day at a time, that is all we are promised. As a popular country song said, ďLive like you are dyingĒ, enjoy each day, donít worry about the past or the future. Actually, day to day is all I can comprehend.

Happy New Year! God bless you!
